About ARMC
The American River Music Camp (ARMC) is an elective- based program designed to be flexible, allowing students to explore songwriting, vocal training, a variety of acoustic instruments, styles and genres.
This years classes included; Songwriting, Singing, Flatpick Guitar, Fingerstyle Guitar, Beginning Guitar, Mandolin, Fiddle, Banjo, Dobro, Upright Bass, Ukulele, Blues Guitar, Music Theory, and special workshops on Rhythm, Improvisation, How to Jam and Hula! Evening activities include,a Band Scramble, Student Concert and Jamming.
Each and every camp participant’s musical and artistic effort is considered an equal contribution to the American River Music Camp experience. The American River Music Camp (ARMC) enters its fifth year as an educational, inspirational, and memorable experience. Joe Craven is our Camp Cheerleader!
The American River Music Camp embraces all aspects of acoustic music, from bluegrass to blues and beyond and strives to light the flame of creativity that lives in all of us in a way that is positive, and above all, fun! The American River Resort along the beautiful American River in Coloma is a perfect setting for ARMC.
The camp accepts children of ages from 10 - 80+. We have special rates for registrants who wish to participate as a family. American River Music Camp is a very special group of musicians. For the last four years a wonderful combination of instructors and students have gathered together to create a community. Each year we depart high on the experience and the friendships we developed at ARMC.
